JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
- Twelve month work year.
- Occasional evening or weekend hours may be required.
- Employment, responsibilities, compensation, or any other factor may be affected by changes in governmental regulations, the agency’s contracts, or at agency discretion.
SALARY: :Range of Steps 1 – 3, $26.42/hr - $29.12/hr. Initial salary placement, Step 1.:

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- BA in Child Development or related field.
- Three years of experience in a child care setting.
- Experience working with adult learners.
- Ability to correctly and effectively communicate in written and oral English.
- A California driver’s license, daily use of an automobile, and automobile liability insurance.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Recruit child care providers to participate in quality improvement activities.*
- Conduct on-site coaching visits for participants.*
- Provide feedback to participants in conjunction with on-site visits.*
- Model developmentally appropriate practices for participants.*
- Provide information and resources on appropriate early education curriculums.*
- Maintain effective documentation on work activities including the progress of individual participants.*
- Facilitate networking opportunities among participants.*
- Build connections with and maintain resources on local colleges and universities.*
- Assist providers to develop a professional development plan and monitor their progress in meeting established professional goals.*
- Maintain current knowledge of child care assessment tools.*
- Maintain current knowledge of Resource and Referral services and other community resources which support quality child care.*
- Actively participate in in-service trainings.*
- Use sensitivity and good judgment when interacting with children, parent, and co-workers.*
- Read and implement all agency and program policies and procedures.*
- Work effectively with other team members.*
- Accurately complete all assigned paperwork and documentation on a timely basis according to agency policies and procedures.*
- Other duties as assigned.*
REPORTING RESPONSIBILITY:
- Works under direction of the Resource & Referral Specialist Supervisor and the Resource & Referral Department Supervisor.
