• Ensure all required documentation is maintained and timely updated.
• Provide support to production and ensure system adherence.
• Initiate and drive projects to reduce product Failure cost year over year.
• Champion project teams to resolve customer or field reported issues using problem solving methodologies
• Work closely with stakeholders like Design Engineering, Tech Service, Product Specialist to address warranty claims, Product Quality Report (PQRs), in timely manner
• Use, lead and teach responsible teams on root cause analysis using fishbones, 5-why’s, Zero Defects practices, and process improvement activities
• Present to Senior Management Monthly on Market Quality/Warranty Metrics and progress on improvement initiatives
• Responsible for reviewing and approving the engineering changes and documentation changes
• Identify and implement continuous improvement processes
• Assist Manager/Supervisors as needed. Developing, documenting, and overseeing the execution of test protocols for HVAC systems and/or Electrical & Mechanical component qualification (includes sample size, stress scheme, acceleration scheme and field correlation rational)
• Judging the adequacy and completeness of supplier reliability testing and qualification
• Assist in the design and oversee the construction of test apparatus, test instrumentation and/or test data acquisition capability
• Providing test protocols to Technician for using Environmental chambers (Temperature, Humidity), HALT chambers (Temperature, Vibration) & Corrosion Salt Spray Testing chambers
• Using available analytical capability (microscopy, FTIR, GC Mass Spec) to undertake failure analysis of parts and systems returned from the field.
• Developing and conducting scientific-method compliant failure analysis experiments. Reporting and recording (dFMEA) learning.
• Generating experiment and test reports.
• Addressing field or customer issues.

• Works within knowledge.

• Effective verbal and written English communication skills.
• High level of attention to detail
• Above average problem solving skills and techniques – fishbone, 5-why’s etc.
• Experience in ISO 9001 & 14001 environments.
• AS 400/MAPICS database exp or similar database experience.
• Experience in developing pokeyokes.
• Experience in MS Office-Excel, Word, Power BI and email *prefer experience using charts and tables.
• Ability to create sophisticated documents and forms in a Business System format
• Prefer experience working in a lead or supervisory role.
• Prefer experience as internal or lead ISO auditor.
• Experience using Lean principles.
• Six Sigma certification preferred.

• 5 plus years of experience in an engineering role in a high volume HVAC manufacturing environment
• Certification credentials in ISO 9001/14001 a plus

• Bachelor’s in an Engineering field

• Must be able to perform essential responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodations
• Travel may be up to 5-10%
