IATF COORDINATOR/APQP ENGINEER
TRAVERSE CITY, MI


As a member of the Quality team, the IATF Coordinator/APQP Engineer will be responsible for taking the lead on IATF open points to ensure compliance and that internal teams have the knowledge to sustain/manage the system implementation and/or improvements. The IATF Coordinator/APQP Engineer will lead, facilitate, and execute APQP activities in direct support of new product development programs. They will serve as core team member of new product development.


The Role:

Your work will include, but not be limited to:

  • Customer Audit (VDA, MMOG and BIQS, & SQI’s)
  • External Audit Scheduling
  • Scheduling and leading internal audits
  • Scheduling and assigning LPA’s
  • Communicating and presenting to upper management
  • Must show compliance with IATF Requirements

Your Qualifications:

  • Experience in APQP
  • Understanding the AIAG 7 Pack
  • Fundamentals of APQP
  • Knowledge in Capability Studies and software’s used (Minitab – Preferred)
  • Organizing in managing outsourcing of layouts if needed
  • Familiar with measuring equipment (i.e., basic gages, CMM, Faro Arm, and/or 3D scanner)
  • Knowledge in GD&T
  • Print reading
  • Good Customer Skills
  • Must be a certified IATF Internal Auditor
  • Good Communication skills with action assignment follow-ups
  • All Audit Corrective Action Completion Monitoring/Tracking
  • Understanding of CSR’s (Customer Service Requirements)
  • Monitoring ALL OEM Scorecards
  • VDA 6.3 (Certified or will need to get Certified)

Bonus If You Have:

  • Lead IATF Auditor Preferred
  • AIAG Certifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a technical field from an accredited institution
