Lockheed Martin (LM) Missiles and Fire Control (MFC) seeking a Quality Engineer for a position located in Grand Prairie, TX (Fort Worth, TX Building Location). The position will be responsible for multiple suppliers and assembly/ integration of hardware at LM production sites. The individual will need to have the capability to work partially independent in role, effectively communicate with cross-functional internal and external team, and see the product through the qualification and production rate life cycle phases. This position may require frequent travel to suppliers and LM production sites. The individual will work a hybrid schedule of onsite and remote support on a weekly basis with the expectation to adapt to any onsite support schedule changes as identified.

Duties Include:

Analyze, resolve, monitor, and improve the quality of operational processes and outputs

Review documentation related to internal and external manufacturing processes to ensure quality products are delivered to the customer

Program Quality Engineer liaison to LM production sites

Supplier Quality Engineer for multiple suppliers

Attend program site, customer, and supplier meetings

Identify trends, assists in problem resolution, contain and dispositioning non-conforming hardware

Identify appropriate root cause and corrective action is taken to prevent recurrence

Perform assessments and audits on processes and procedures to ensure compliance to specifications, engineering drawings, procedures, and ISO-9001/AS9100

Interface with customers, suppliers, and program personnel on quality related issues

Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, customer, supplier, and subcontractor representatives to ensure requirements are met

Support product and line qualification efforts and testing

Typical level 3 requires a Bachelors degree and 5-10 years of experience or less with a Masters degree
Basic Qualifications:
Technical degree at the Bachelor level or above

Must be a US Citizen and have the ability to obtain a secret clearance

Quality engineering or technical engineering experience developing and reviewing quality standards, methods, work instructions and procedures for the inspection of manufactured and procured products

Able to interpret drawings and specifications to develop and apply quality test, inspection methods and work instructions

Intermediate understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)

Demonstrated ability to use causal analysis tools

Experience in disposition of non-conforming products

Knowledge of Configuration and Data Management

Proficient skill level with Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.

Effective strong communication skills, written, oral, listening, technical writing

Effective interpersonal skills, including team building and collaboration

Effectively interact with Suppliers, Quality Program Management, Technical Operations, Manufacturing, Government Representatives, and other stakeholders

Experience with performing & reviewing First Article Inspections to AS9102 requirements

Demonstrated presentation skills

Ability to travel 50% - 100% (pending job need)

Ability to work a flexible schedule (after hours or weekends when needed)

Demonstrate Understanding of Audit Techniques

Experience with Process Capability Analysis

Lean/ Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Certification

Experience with AS9145 APQP & PPAP

Experience using the SAP and Procure-to-Pay (P2P) Applications

Special Process Engineering Experience

Experience with Drawing Reviews

Experience with New Production Line Setup, Qualification, or Validation

Experience working with Government Customers and Suppliers

Experience working with Production Sites – Mechanical, Machining, Assembly

Experience in establishing Performance Metrics for identifying process improvement

Earned Value Management System Cost Account Manager (EVMS CAM) certification

Experience with Material Review Boards

Experience with Failure Review Boards

Experience with DD250 or DD1149 Processes

Experience with Production Line Validations

American Society for Quality (ASQ) Certifications

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
