Fast-paced automotive supplier is seeking a Quality Manager with a strong automotive background for their manufacturing facility. The company supplies to the automotive industry and is diverse in their customer base. The Quality Manager will report to the Plant Manager and will have eleven direct reports while indirectly overseeing a staff of two. The Quality Manager is responsible for motivating, coaching and leading their staff; resolving customer and supplier quality issues; completing quality reports; maintaining and improving the quality management system; managing all quality assurance activities and giving regular quality presentations. The Quality Manager will be involved with the strategic development of their quality area, as well as IATF implementation. This position requires candidates to be on the manufacturing floor up to 15% of their day. Candidates should be able to develop teams, be energetic, able to take ownership of projects, have good work history and enjoy floor presence.

Requirements for the Quality Manager:
1. A bachelor’s degree is highly preferred
2. At least three years of similar quality leadership and/or supervision experience
3. Automotive supplier experience
4. Experience working with Class A surfaces
5. Root cause analysis and corrective actions
6. Quality documentation experience, including PFMEA, PPAP and APQP
7. Working knowledge of SPC
8. Experience working with ERP systems
9. Microsoft Office, primarily Excel
Skills that are preferred, BUT NOT required:
1. Experience with color matching
2. IATF Implementation
Candidates are preferred to be local to the Sandusky, Ohio area.
