Responsibilities:
Under general supervision, confirms with patients all necessary identification information and prepares the necessary forms to receive services and ensures accurate billing and insurance information is collected. Demonstrates the ability to work with groups of all ages to provide clerical support services taking into consideration the unique physical and psycho-social needs of patients relative to age specific requirements. Effectively interacts, communicates, greets patients, visitors, and all levels of management. Performs other various clerical duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalency with basic literacy and knowledge of general medical terminology.
Ability to read and write in order to review radiology records for completeness, respond to written and verbal requests for patient information.
Excellent computer and analytical skills necessary to maintain radiology records.
Ability to operate computer system and use numerous functions for a variety of tasks. Prior hospital experience preferred.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required to handle sensitive situations with internal and external customers.
