We have an opportunity with OrthoCarolina for a Radiology Technologist with our OrthoCarolina Gastonia/Gastonia OUC office location. This position will average 28-30 hours per a week and eligible for benefits.
The schedule is Wednesday-Friday 1pm-9pm and every other Saturday/Sunday from 10am-2pm.
The Radiology Technologist will provide diagnostic quality radiographs for physicians and/or physician assistants while protecting employees and patients from unnecessary radiation and usage of appropriate protection standards.
- Develops and processes radiological film/images and examines radiological films/images for properties such as density and contrast, definition, magnification and distortion.
- Delivers to physician for reading/interpretation film and or images by using the OrthoCarolina Picture Archive Communications System (PACS) when applicable.
- Cleans and makes minor adjustments to radiology equipment and ensures equipment is in working order and reports equipment malfunctions to Radiology Manager or designee.
- Prepares copies of x-ray films/CD’s for patients, tests, surgery and physicians as required.
- Logs radiological procedures completed, processes charges and related paperwork using computer equipment as directed.
- Maintains cleanliness of examination rooms and stocks necessary medical and/or radiological supplies in the department. Compliance with all OrthoCarolina policy and procedures.
- Assists with the transportation of patients between the examination module(s) and the Radiology department. Assist with patient flow in the examination module(s) as directed by a supervisor.

Education required:
- Graduate of a Radiologic Technologist program approved by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and the American Medical Association.
Professional license or certification requirements:
- Registered Radiology Tech by American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (AART) or ARRT registry eligible.
- Current CPR certification recommended.
