Trelleborg Healthcare and Medical is seeking a Rapid Development Engineer- R&D to join their team. Support Sales, Marketing, and our Customers in rapid development of medical components and devices. Responsible for all aspects of product development. (Part Design, Tooling, Process Development and Quality) Follows good manufacturing practices (GMP) and principles to develop robust manufacturing processes.

Education and Experience:

Required:
  • 2-year degree in quality, engineering, tooling, or any related field
Desired:
  • 5+ years in a manufacturing environment in a technical role

Responsibilities:

  • Analyzes new product specifications and translates these into manufacturing processes
  • Conducts reviews of new and revised tooling designs
  • Acts as mold design review input champion
  • Develops and optimizes polymer conversion process parameters for new tools
  • Low volume manufacturing runs
  • Measure parts/tooling
  • Creates measurement system programs
  • Conducts data analysis
  • Develop world class business and manufacturing processes to support the rapid development of life saving components, devices, and therapies
  • Works closely with the Sales and Marketing teams to support our customers
  • Provide DFM (Design for Manufacturability) support for customers
  • Collaborates across business unit locations to share manufacturing best practices, technology, and processes
  • Research and analyze new technologies
  • May be assigned special assignments to support the strategic goals of the RDC
