Summary
The Recruitment Specialist is an administrative support employee, specializing in activities specific to the recruitment and credentialing function within the organization. Under the general supervision of the Director of Human Resources, the Recruitment Specialist is primarily responsible for managing the hiring and credentialing process, including recruitment, selection, placement of internal and external candidates, and verifying staff licensing/professional accreditations for medical staff within an appropriate timeframe. He/she is also responsible for maintaining employee credentialing files and documenting changes affecting licensing expiration dates.

Responsibilities Include but are not limited to:
- Prepare and maintain job postings for exempt and non-exempt positions; manages multiple job openings concurrently.
- Coordinate with managers to ensure that job descriptions are up-to-date and accurate.
- Assist with development of comprehensive recruitment strategies for all open positions and help identify the most cost efficient and effective recruitment methods to attract and retain top quality employees.
- Initiate and coordinate the use of alternative staffing methods, including outside non-profit agencies for permanent and temporary vacancies, networking, social media platforms such as LinkedIn, Facebook, etc., and the use of interns and seasonal employees.
- Develop a database of qualified candidates in advance of need and maintain regular contact with possible future candidates.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external agencies for recruitment purposes (IPHCA, National Able, Latino Network, NHSC, etc.).
- Pre-screen and recommend qualified exempt and non-exempt applicants for open positions.
- Schedule interviews for the Human Resources Director and/or department directors/ managers.
- Ensure verification and completion of all credentials prior to hire.
- Ensure that all new hires, students and volunteers complete and submit credentialing paperwork before or on start date.
- Create and maintain credentialing files for all staff. Retrieves and presents employee files for program audits.
- Maintain excellent coordination with management staff and payroll department to ensure documentation of all employee status changes (e.g., changes of address, departmental transfers, pay rate increases, terminations, benefits, etc.).
- Prepare employment reports for internal and/or external distribution (e.g. EEO1 reporting, employee turnover, etc.).
- Verify employment and answers employment inquiries from outside parties.
- Assist with the exit interview process and unemployment claim process.
- Represent Christian Community Health Center at job/career fairs and other pertinent recruitment events along with the Director of Human Resources. Perform event set-up (reserve booth, prepare display materials, etc.).
- Stay abreast of changes in the healthcare industry as it pertains to regulation guidelines, labor market, employment law, and human resources trends.
- Assure legal compliance in all policies, procedures, and practices within the Human Resources Department, and complies with all state and federal employment laws.

- Bachelor’s Degree.
- Minimum 2 years responsible administrative support experience directly related experience with medical staff recruiting, medical credentialing, and human resources procedures required
- Proficient in MS Office including Word, Excel, and Power Point.
- SHRM preferred.
