Summary: The Regional Director of Provider Relations will develop and align initiatives for the markets and hospitals within Region (2) to achieve targeted organic growth; improve access to and delivery of care; identify target markets to establish and maintain relationships; promote expansion by actively seeking stakeholders and community partners to improve processes, access and outcomes. This growth will be accomplished by coordinating and supporting the Regional President, market leadership, hospital CEOs, service line leaders, and outreach team members (DPO/DCO) in their efforts to develop collaborative relationships and increase satisfaction among providers who practice in their communities.
Essential Duties:
- Directs the day to day operational activities of the DPO/DCOs as they relate to target opportunities & growth objectives.
- Supports regional/market/hospital leaders and outreach team members to effectively align and achieve goals by establishing and maintaining provider relationships; aligning with strategic service line and outreach efforts; review, assess and develop strategies based on available and appropriate data in accordance with CHS guidelines and policies; and provide consistent communication of goals/outcomes.
- Work in alignment with the Regional President and CEOs to ensure activities are aligned with organizational and individual hospital strategic plans.
- Supports the region by hiring, onboarding, and providing ongoing training and resources to the outreach team members.
- Supports market/facility leadership and outreach team members in the strategic planning process to provide alignment insight, provider preferences, and service line growth opportunities through available and appropriate data sources in accordance with CHS guidelines and policies.
- Ensures timely documentation by Provider Relations team member for provider calls (meetings) and Issue Resolution Management into the PRM system.
- On a monthly basis, facilitates the development and review of an Executive Level PRM/Issue Resolution dashboard for leadership to monitor and summarize DPO/DCO activities and effectiveness.
- Partners with marketing to develop outreach collaterals and strategies to be used by growth team members uniformly throughout the markets and hospitals.
- Supports growth team members in monthly and quarterly face-to-face growth meetings to ensure a thorough understanding of our current state of providers’ engagement, utilization of facilities, and continued opportunities to enhance quality focus, improve access to delivery of care, and identify/eliminate obstacles of available services in our community.
- Collaborates weekly (or as needed) with regional, market, and/or hospital leadership to discuss trends, business growth opportunities, obstacles to service line retention, and results from the previous week’s Provider Relations outreach activities.
- Supports market/hospital and outreach team members with identified/ongoing barriers to growth to improve access, processes and outcomes.
Job Qualifications:
- Education: Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Communication, and/or Healthcare related field from an accredited college or university; Master’s degree in Business and/or Health Administration preferred.
- Experience: Requires a minimum of ten (10) years of progressive healthcare experience with five (5) years management/leadership experience. Clinical Sales/Leadership experience is highly preferred.
- Expected Travel: 75% (Varies by region/market travel)
Key Competencies/Requirements:
- Ability to research, understand, and explain healthcare service line volumes, market data regarding physician preferences, facility financial reports, relationship management strategies, and market demographic data tools and other insightful reports (i.e. Excel, CRM/PRM platforms, Claims Data Software, marketing data sources, etc.).
- Ability to demonstrate an executive presence with all levels of the organization, while demonstrating engagement, confidence, persuasive communication skills, emotional intelligence, and organizational awareness.
