RMA with our
Integrated Healthcare Team.
What You Will Be Doing
Working as an Integrated Healthcare Assistant – RMA, you will be responsible for working with the team RN to ensure that persons served in our integrated health home have excellent medical and psychiatric care. This includes: taking vitals, measuring mechanical indicators, assisting with scheduling appointments, following up on referrals, assisting with appointment reminders, ordering supplies, and other directives as assigned by the team RN. This position provides a consistent Monday - Friday, 8 am - 5 pm work schedule.
What We Require
High School diploma, or GED, and experience in medical office practice is required. A strong understanding of services for psychiatric and substance use consumers, and a strong recovery philosophy is desired. Lived experiences with behavioral health issues are desired. Advanced computer skills, including word processing, spreadsheets, database management and e-mail.
Required licenses: Registered Medical Assistant ( RMA) OR Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). Valid Michigan Motor Vehicle Operator’s license with reliable transportation is preferred.

Physical Requirements / Working Conditions:
Physical Efforts– Job demands include prolonged sitting and standing as appropriate. May occasionally require light lifting up to 25 pounds, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or bending as appropriate. Requires coordination of hands and/or eye/hand/foot.
Working Conditions– Office environment with noise from computers, copy machine, and telephones. Use of computer for periods in excess of 30 minutes at a time. Possible eyestrain from extended periods of viewing computer screen. May be exposed to bloodborne pathogens, infectious diseases, and parasites. Travel throughout the Kalamazoo area is required.
