The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Position Summary

The School of Nursing is looking to hire a Part-Time Research Associate to work under the direction of a Principal Investigator’s program of research focusing on the impact of nursing home leadership care environments and health information technology on outcomes of residents with Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Dementias (ADRD). The Research Assistant will assist the PI and work closely with the research coordinator to organize research team meeting calls, disseminate agendas, and meeting links. The research assistant will also play an important role in managing gift card purchases and tracking use of gift cards for reporting purposes. The Research Assistant will also play a role in organizing the research team meetings.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities will include:

  • Organizing research team meeting calls, disseminate agendas, and meeting links.
  • Managing gift card purchases and tracking use of gift cards for reporting purposes.
  • Assisting with data collection and statistical analysis of research data.
  • Conducting recruitment and maintain recruitment database.
  • Assisting with manuscript preparation and submission, including conducting literature searches, manuscript writing and manuscript submissions.
  • Assisting with administrative tasks including IRB submission/revisions.
  • Attending all research related meetings.
  • Working closely with sites and study personnel.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

This is a grant funded position. Continued employment is based on availability of funding.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in education and experience, plus two years of related experience, or equivalent in education, training and experience.
  • Computer fluency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous research experience is desired.
  • Statistical and database management experience desired.
