- Minimum six months of Direct Care experience is required*
Additional responsibilities include assisting with the purchasing of groceries, training in meal planning and food preparation, administering medications, and assisting in the management of personal funds. In the absence of the Program Supervisor and Team Manager, the Shift Supervisor functions as a supervisor for an assigned team in implementing and coordinating all activities within the home in the provision of active habilitation programming including, but not limited to, improving client self help skills, economic self sufficiency, socialization, leisure skills, mobility, communication, etc.
Work involves overall responsibility for the health and well-being of individuals served, insuring staff coverage, reporting and recording observations, circulating and implementing directives, and for maintaining necessary records and reports.
Supervision is received from a Team Manager and Program Supervisor or other professional staff member; however, the employee is expected to exercise independent judgment and initiative within the limit of established policies and procedures.
