Ashley in Lake City, FL is looking for one retail sales associate to join our 6 person strong team. We are located on 161 SW Faith Rd. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, motivated, and engaged.

Job Description

The retail sales associate plays a central role in the customer experience. She/he provides the customer with her first impression of Ashley, serving as the customer’s guide through the shopping experience. From the moment the customer walks through the door to the moment they leave, the RSA should provide well-executed customer interaction, which feels to the customer like she is having a most pleasant and casual, no-pressure conversation with an old friend as she selects the furniture she wants. Yet the RSA will have tailored wording, body language, and sequences to create an environment where the customer felt the desire to buy. After the purchase, the RSA also acts as the customer’s personal representative with AFI and AHS, serving as a point of contact for customers contacting the store and vice versa.

Duties and responsibilities

• The RSA's primary responsibility is to the customer they are currently dealing with, whether they are present in person, or remotely via phone, email, text etc. All other tasks and projects take a backseat to the customer interaction.
• When not assisting customers, the RSA is

o Entering sales into the sales system

o Assisting the office manager and store manager with tasks as they are assigned

o Maintaining the appearance of the showroom by arranging pillows and blankets, dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, and any other task that would maintain or improve the customer experience

o Assisting with the maintenance of signage, pricing, merchandising etc. around the store.

• The RSA is responsible for ensuring all common areas are clean, stocked and maintained including bathrooms, breakroom, office areas, backroom, sales floor, entrance, parking lot, etc.
