This position is for a sales associate position with The UPS Store in New Tampa (Cross Creek) area. You will join our dedicated sales staff at our location in New Tampa where our team strives to offer world-class customer service and prides itself on being the highest rated shipping and packing store in our area.

The UPS Store Centers are retail service businesses which offer mail and parcel receiving, packaging, and shipping services through various carriers, and provide a wide range of other authorized products and services, including notary, printing, copying, office supplies, and communications (such as fax) services. The UPS Store Centers target the needs of businesses of all size, small office/home office workers, and busy consumers who are looking for timesaving services.

The UPS Store Sales Associate delivers best-in-class customer service that meet and exceed their expectations with primary responsibilities include those listed below. The position reports to the owner/manager.

NOTE: The UPS Store centers are locally owned and operated retail shops. This IS NOT a job with UPS. This position is not soliciting for a drivers or warehouse attendants.

Responsibilities:

• Primary duties are to drive retail sales of The UPS Store.
• Delivers outstanding retail sales and customer service to in-store customers.
• Offers solutions to best fit customer's needs. Up-sells and cross-sells services and products.
• Assist customer with shipping, printing, mailbox, fax, and other product offerings of The UPS Store.
• Operates copiers, fax machines, binding equipment and all other office machines in a safe, efficient and productive manner. Helps customers operate office machines located in retail area.
• Packages shipments for safe arrival, including assembling stock boxes, building custom boxes, and properly cushioning contents.
• Continuously practices good listening skills with customers, The UPS Store team members, and leadership.
• Takes action to learn all product and service offerings, alternative solutions, and industry trends.
• Opens or closes the store and performs start-of-day/end-of-day procedures.
• Maintains a clean and safe working environment.
• Completes required web-based training on a biweekly basis. `
• Ensures supplies are fully stocked.
• Complies with company rules and regulations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Previous The UPS Store sales associate experiece preferred and desired.
• Position requires a dedicated staff who is willing to work a flexible schedule.
• Ability to work up to 40 hours per week including weekends.
• Prior The UPS Store experience desired and preferred.
• Able to lift 40+ pounds.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Prior retail sales & customer service experience: 2 years required.
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and Adobe Suite.
• Ability to learn quickly.
• Highly organized and detail oriented.
• Great verbal and written communication skills.
