Roll Off Driver | Truck Drivers| Class A & B Drivers Welcome
Job description
General Purpose:
Roll-off Driver will be responsible for preparing, loading, and unloading, securing materials to the designated locations.
Essential Duties:
- Operate vehicle in accordance within Ecology Recycling Services LLC., Safety Rules, OSHA (Occupational and Safety Health Act), DOT (Departments of Transportations) as well as all local, municipal, state, and federal laws.
- Perform pre-and post-trip inspections of assigned equipment
- Report any unsafe situations or service-related issues to dispatch.
- Report service problems blocked containers, or any potential safety hazards.
- Report any incidents, accidents, injuries, or property damage to dispatch.
- Ensure that equipment is kept in a good operating condition.
- Performed assigned duties on roll of delivery and hauling routes
- Communicate any customer request with dispatch
- Collaborate with managers to drive projects enhancing productivity and performance without compromising quality and safety.
- Complete and submit work orders and driver logs as required.
Education/Experience:
1 – 2 years of experience preferred. Must have a clean driving record and CDL truck driving experience.
Language Skills: English and Spanish:
Will be required to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos, to write correspondence, memos, and schedule.
Mathematical Skills:
Basic math skills required.
Reasoning Ability:
Problem solving, reasoning, and “thinking out of the box” will be a constant requirement; in addition, applying common sense understanding to better serve our guests’ needs.
Physical Demands:
- Physically able to conduct inspections and carry equipment used for inspections.
- Prolonged periods of sitting inside vehicle
- Prolonged periods of walking and standing if need be
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time
- Occasionally sits, climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crawls or crouches.
Vision Requirements:
Regularly uses close, distance, color and peripheral vision as well as depth perception. Ability to adjust focus.
Environment/Noise:
Often works outdoors in both hot and cold temperatures. Occasionally works in wet areas.
Certificates/Licenses (Preferred Qualifications):
Class A license with no restrictions and DOT Medical Certification required.

- Experience Class A & B driver
- Willing to work different shifts and travel up to 50% of the time.
- Extensive knowledge of environmental regulations and policies.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

- Heavy & Tractor-Trailer Truck Drivers: 1 year (Preferred)
