Develops processes and procedures for continuous compliance with all safety regulations and internal safety policies on a daily basis.

Advises Plant Manager, Senior Plant Engineer, Engineers, Production Managers, Human Resource Manager, and Department Managers at the specific location on safety initiatives and programs.

Conducts safety due diligence for potential new Vinyl startups involving both existing facilities as well as new buildings.

Directs personnel to develop recordkeeping processes that insure continuous compliance with all applicable OSHA regulations.

Gathers, analyzes, and summarizes injury and incident data. Reviews Incident Investigation Reports generated at the specific site. Responsible for driving improvements in the Incident Investigation processes.

Coordinate and administers all workers compensation cases with WC claims representative, doctors and legal counsel.

Negotiates terms and agreements with state and/or federal OSHA regulators if necessary.

Reads, interprets, and communicates safety regulations to affected stakeholders at the site and the Vinyl Division.

Provides training to on how to effectively comply with all applicable safety regulations.

Provides leadership to the site’s safety committees and teams.

Organize, schedule and provide instructors to meet development needs.

Conduct/facilitate training sessions per Gettysburg Operations training and development needs.
Responsible for leading the site’s machine inspection processes for both new and existing equipment.

Bachelor’s degree and two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. -
Proficient written and oral communication, planning and organization skills

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.

Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.

Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format.

Ability to effectively present information to management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Proficient in Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to walk; or climb or balance. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus.
