A SAFETY SPECIALISTS DAY

As a Safety Specialist, you support safety initiatives and act as a resource for our employees. You conduct routine safety job site audits and facility safety inspections. Covering OSHA 10, CPR/AED/first aid, defensive driving, the proper operation of fleet vehicles, and other safety topics. You would develop and conduct effective and engaging training programs for all departments. Leading by example, employees are inspired to be attentive to and promote safety for the benefit of themselves, others, and the community. When there are accidents, near misses, or safety concerns, you conduct thorough investigations and make recommendations for the prevention of similar incidents.

You are conscientious about keeping up-to-date and accurate records and filing OSHA reports in a timely manner. Collaborating with leadership, you design, develop, implement, and continuously improve our comprehensive safety and health programs. You ensure and monitor training effectiveness through the review of audit reports or feedback from leadership, and fellow employees. QUALIFICATIONS FOR A SAFETY SPECIALIST

• 3-5 years experience minimum
• Excellent Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook skills
• Previous/current Safety experience and/or education is required
• Vertical Heights climbing background and experience in the last 18 months.
  • Climb and maintain balance on steel framework, stairs, ladders, and scaffold
• OSHA 500 Outreach Instructor Certification (General Industry or Construction) Preferred

It would be ideal if you are also a certified CPR/AED/first aid trainer and a certified NSC defensive driver instructor. Are you detail-oriented? Do you have a good sense of the overall impact of events and decisions? Can you work effectively and professionally with individuals at varying levels within a company as well as with outside contacts? If so, you might just be perfect for this Safety Specialist position!

WORK SCHEDULE

This full-time industrial safety position in telecommunications typically works Monday - Friday. Office location is in Southwest Wyoming at our corporate office in Mountain View.
