We are currently searching for a dynamic, personable, detail-focused Sales Manager II. The ultimate mission of this role will be to solicit, sell, and contract rooms for assigned market in coordination with transient demand patterns and existing group business in order to maximize hotel room and related revenues.

Reporting to the Director of Sales, the Sales Manager II responsibilities will include the following:

  • Creates and executes strategic sales plans to identify, attract and retain appropriate business to hotel
  • Outside Sales solicitation activities to grow group rooms and related revenue
  • Overnight travel for business related activities as needed
  • Skillfully respond to incoming leads and maximize conversion from all sources
  • Analyze and manage business opportunities to achieve the highest profit margins for department and hotel
  • Creatively sells available hotel space to maximize revenue
  • Obtains rooming lists, and VIP details from clients.
  • Obtains deposits and trace files to ensure correct payment
  • Proper procedures pre and post function to ensure payment
  • Negotiate and finalizes contracts up to and exceeding 100 rooms, including city-wide conventions
  • Communicates with appropriate departments for regarding changes and final counts
  • Ensures that guest rooms and meeting rooms are blocked.
  • Provide accurate forecasts to operational departments to ensure proper staffing
  • Establishes on- sight customer contact as needed and introduces customer to the service staff
  • Follows-up with clients after each function to ensure satisfaction and solicit for additional business
  • Ensure proper usage and that all required information is entered into sales software including all significant client communication
  • Confirm that company products or services are represented accurately in advertising and marketing materials distributed to clients
  • Conducts oneself at all times in a professional business manner, acts as a professional representative of the hotel and an enthusiastic member of the sales team
  • Provides leadership, training, and motivation to the sales team to help them meet their goals
  • Participates in MOD program and assists operating department during large/VIP events
  • Position may be required to occasionally work flexible hours and weekends
  • Other responsibilities as assigned by Director of Sales
  • Responsibilities are subject to change

The ideal Sales Manager II candidate will bring the following minimum required or preferred assets to the company:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required
  • 3 to 5 years’ experience in hotel sales and/or conference center sales; or any equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the above knowledge, skills and abilities is required.
  • DELPHI experience preferred
  • Hilton OnQ System knowledge preferred
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills required
  • Strong analytical, problem solving & organization skills required
  • Ability to multitask in demanding environment required
  • Microsoft Office skills required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $64,000.00 - $69,000.00 per year
