Ag Division PSSR for Altorfer's Iowa Territory
Basic Duties:
- Understand theory of operation on RoGators, TerraGators, Lexion Combines, Challenger Tractors and other machinery sold within Altorfer Ag Products.
- Understand theory of operation of the Precision Ag Products that are installed on machinery sold by Altorfer Ag Products. Items such as: Raven, Ag Leader, Topcon, Trimble and Norac.
- Job duties include:
- Able to deliver large items such as combine headers, floatation tires, sprayer booms, etc. to customer sites, other store locations and anywhere that’s needed.
- set up and assist Altorfer sale reps with equipment demos to help finalize the equipment sale and to demonstrate how the equipment works.
- Assist the Customer Support Team with training’s for operators/growers.
- Handle machine start-ups: when delivering equipment to a customer the product specialist will evaluate the equipment with the customer to ensure it’s what the customers wants and starts the equipment for the customer to reassure the equipment is working correctly.
- General on-site support: when customers have product issues, the support specialist will assist the operator and try to resolve.
- Other duties as assigned
- Knowledge and previous experience operating Ag machinery such as RoGators, TerraGators, Lexion Combines, Challenger Tractors required.
- Good communication skills (verbal and written) and excellent customer service skills necessary.
- Able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. will be required to pull combine headers and able to change your own truck & trailer tires when/if needed.
- Willingness to work overtime and some weekends when needed.
- Willingness to travel to trade shows, store locations, other sites for training and stay overnight if required.
- Must have outstanding positive attitude at all times!
- Basic computer skills are need especially with programs such as Microsoft, Excel, and Outlook.
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- Must have a valid driver’s license with clean driving record. This includes no more than 2 minor violations within the past 3 years and no major violations within the past 5 years (Motor Vehicle Report will be performed on final candidate).
This position work in the field. Travel & work is performed under a variety of weather extremes, from wet to dry, from cold to hot. The wearing of approved safety equipment (i.e. steel toe footwear) is required. Noise level in shops/warehouse/customer locations may range from moderate to high. Must be flexible during peak season working overtime as needed. May intermittently sit at a desk for a period of time to answer telephone and write or use a keyboard to communicate through email. Position requires extensive standing, walking, reaching with hands and arms, climbing or balancing, stooping or kneeling, talking and hearing, and using fingers and hands to feel objects, tools or controls.
