Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA) Veteran Readiness and Employment (VR&E) is responsible for providing eligible program participants with compensable service-connected disabilities, all services and assistance necessary to enable them to the maximum extent possible, to become employable and to obtain and maintain suitable employment and achieve maximum independence in daily living. This position is classified as REMOTE and PART-TIME.
The VR&E team is looking for a Scheduler/Project Manager. This position is responsible for maintaining, updating, and analyzing of the resource loaded integrated master schedule. The Scheduler/Project Manager ensures the project has reliable schedule estimates and achieve project goals on time and on budget. The Scheduler/Project Manager ensures the project has schedule, scope and risk implemented within the schedule that are in line with our team’s processes.
Primary Responsibilities
Develop a fully resource loaded (including subcontractors and vendors) integrated master schedule and work breakdown structure (WBS)
Perform schedule analysis for the program
Responsible for scheduling and dependency management within the program
Perform schedule audits
Collaborate with the Program Manager, Financial Analyst and subcontractors for the alignment and forecasting of project financials based on actual cost and schedule performance as reflected in the master schedule
Provide forward looking schedule analysis to program leadership
Establish, maintain, and report baseline and current schedule status in efforts to communicate clear, accurate and objective program progress updates
Proactive communication of scheduling impacts to major milestones and critical path activities in accordance with the program timeline commitments
Attend program meetings, assist in taking and relaying meeting notes, action items
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and 8 – 12 years of relevant experience
Excellent researching, decision-making and organizational skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to effectively interact with others and work independently with minimal supervision
Excellent MS Project skills focused on managing very large and complicated schedules
Familiar with basic professional software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Detail oriented with strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance
Due to US Government contract, US Citizenship is required
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree and 6 – 10 years of relevant experience
Pay Range:
Pay Range $84,500.00 - $130,000.00 - $175,500.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
