We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Middle School Science Teacher to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing engaging and effective lesson plans that align with the NYS standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and teach lesson plans that incorporate hands-on experiments and activities to enhance student learning and engagement

• Use a variety of teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of students, including differentiated instruction and collaborative learning

• Assess and evaluate student progress through multiple measures and provide timely and constructive feedback to students and parents

• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to keep them informed about student progress, and offer support and resources for learning at home

• Work collaboratively with a team of teachers and staff to create a positive and supportive learning environment for all students

• Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with the latest science education research and best practices

Certifications:

NYS certification in science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics and/or Earth Science)

NYS General Science
