Job Title: Scrum Master
Location: St. Louis, MO

Position Description:
Seeking a scrum master to facilitate and coordinate agile development efforts for a large-scale modernization program. The Scrum Master will guide teams through agile work systems and practices, including using quantitative metrics and qualitative insights to discover and highlight opportunities for continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate all applicable ceremonies within the team's working process (preparing, facilitating, post processing).
- Ensure team ceremonies take place, are productive, and kept within the defined timebox.
- Coach the team around the Agile Principles to successfully deliver business value to the customer.
- Ensure the team is dedicated to continuous improvement at regular intervals by conducting retrospectives for them; including mediating team conflicts, helping the team create information radiators and remove impediments hindering the team's progress.
- Address and escalate, as necessary, issues, impediments, and roadblocks and propose solutions.
- Coach the team on agile frameworks and the best practice for the team (i.e. Scrum/ Kanban) to manage projects/assignments.
- Assist with program increment (PI) planning, which may include facilitation efforts, documentation of PI commitments/objectives and JIRA ticket creation.
- Report on team artifacts as identified by the organization.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree with a major or specialized courses in Technology or Business or commensurate experience.
- 5 years' experience in a technology organization including 3 or more years’ experience as a Scrum Master on an agile team.
- PMP, Scrum, and Agile certifications preferred.
- Experience with numerous well-documented Scrum patterns and techniques (e.g., burndown techniques, retrospective formats, handling defects and other emergent work).
- Experience in Jira and Confluence.
- Proficient in identifying risks and facilitating team efforts to reduce impacts to team output.
- Advanced ability to communicate and collaborate effectively and confidently with team members, management, vendors, and end-users.
- Perform as a flexible, dependable self-starter capable of gathering information/data and applying it to the team’s growth/maturity.
- Skilled at establishing and maintaining organizational relationships with a diverse group of people, in a combined virtual and in-person environment.
- Remote candidates will be considered, but local candidates are preferred.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $90.00 - $95.00 per hour
