Job Description:
Microchip is searching for a candidate with experience and expertise in electronic sensors to fulfill a new role with Sensors in the Market Segments Group. The ideal candidate would be a 10-15 year expert from a broad based sensor technology company or a subject matter expert in electronics distribution. Knowledge and relationships with various sensor tech companies is key.
This person will be working closely with the newly formed Sensor Function Group driving business development, client engagement, and marketing collateral for the sensor market. The candidate will own and drive relationships with the major sensor manufacturers. This candidate will also drive revenue with our customers by creating sensor application value propositions with all of our content including signal conditioning (analog), signal processing (digital), communication (wired and wireless), and security (encrypted sensor data).
Requirements/Qualifications:
- 10-15 years of experience in semiconductor sensors (minimum 5 years)
- Previous roles with major sensor manufacturers or relationships with these companies
- Background in marketing preferred. Sales experience a plus.
- BSEE Preferred
