General Summary of Duties:

This position reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer and will assist with overall financial operations of the organization. Organizes, directs, coordinates and participates in the activities involved in the business office, financial management, and operating functions including maintaining the accounting system and record of transactions, computing operating and inventory costs, administering cash and third-party collections, accounts receivable and payable, and preparing statistical reports and financial statements for Administration.

Essential Functions:

• Review customer contracts for revenue recognition to ensure proper accounting treatment in accordance with IFRS 15. This includes creating billing and revenue schedules at the inception of the contract and continually maintaining revenue recognition, deferred revenue, unbilled accounts receivables and sales commission related accounts
• Research and analyze complex revenue recognition issues, as necessary
• Own the month-end close for revenue accounts in Cloud Base ERP system, including preparing journal entries, analyses, account reconciliations and reporting, as well as assist with on-going enhancements to our close process
• Prepare financial analyses and memos (i.e. annual fair value analyses of all product offerings, ad-hoc analyses to support business decisions, documentation of revenue policies)
• Ensure timely and accurate customer billings and manage collections on an ongoing basis
• Ensure appropriate application and collection of sales and use tax to customer contracts
• Collaborate with cross functional teams to improve existing processes & support business needs
• Work closely with external auditors to support our annual financial statement audits, as applicable

Experience:

· Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a financial/ accounting in oncology in a clinic or hospital setting.

Requirements

• Masters's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or other related area required.
• Seven years financial/accounting experience.
• Experience in healthcare accounting preferred.
• CPA or on-track to be a CPA
• Sage Intacct and Bill.com
• Strong analytical skills and detail-oriented self-starter with the ability to think creatively, solution unexpected issues and work independently to meet deadlines
• Proficiency with technical research and takes initiative to determine accounting impact
• Experience in the application of ASC 606 or IFRS 15
• Excellent interpersonal, writing and communication skills
