We have an excellent opportunity for a motivated, talented environmental professional to join Consor as a Senior Environmental Group Manager in our West Jordan, Utah office.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
The primary duties of the Senior Environmental Group Manager are to manage the environmental compliance process and serve as a primary point of contact with local, state and federal government clients, obtain approvals for transportation (highway/roadway/trail) projects in Utah.


Other Duties include:

  • Serve as a task manager, or project manager as appropriate for preparation of NEPA documents for highway/roadway/trail projects
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of NEPA and Wetland Permitting, including staying up to date on case law and providing support on complex projects to provide high quality and defensible project analyses and documentation
  • Conduct research; write proficiently; and manage multiple project schedules with competing deadlines and budget constraints
  • Interface directly with key clients and help build and maintain great relationships
  • Lead a team of professionals tasked with completing environmental NEPA documents
Required Credentials:
  • 10+ years of experience leading NEPA environmental on transportation projects
  • Familiar with the NEPA process including CatEx (Categorical Exclusion), EA (Environmental Assessment), and EIS (Environmental Impact Statements)
  • Experience completing transportation projects through UDOT NEPA process specifically CatEx
  • Experience completing compliance memos
  • BS in Civil Engineer or Environmental Studies (or related field)
  • Knowledge of state and federal environmental regulations
  • Strong environmental writing and communication skills
  • Strong conceptual organizational problem solving and research abilities
  • Ability to participate and lead a team of professionals with varying skill sets
  • Ability and desire to work with clients
  • Ability and desire to participate in marketing of future work
