Senior Fusion Center Operations Engineer will be joining our new Enterprise Resilience Office Fusion Center Operations team and will serve as eyes and ears for the business services' critical alert processes. This team is responsible for performing alert monitoring and response based on processes developed through active relationships with the various service owners we support. Additionally, this team is performing these actions 24/7, giving Jack Henry the capability to drastically reduce meantime-to-response and meantime-to-restoration on small and large impacting events.

In this role, you will act as a team lead, facilitating needs assessments with business lines at Jack Henry and driving process development within the team. You will share responsibility in continuous process improvement practices, troubleshooting, dashboard/alert configuration, and process creation. The successful candidate has experience in Fusion Center or network operations center environments. They are familiar with monitoring and troubleshooting network or server infrastructure.

This position will be filled to work at any Jack Henry office location or Remotely within the U.S.

The target salary range for this position is $82,300 - $120,000, based on location and experience.

What you’ll be responsible for:

  • Monitor for and triage network and systems infrastructure events.
  • Work with Business Units to create dashboard, alerts, and processes /playbooks for certain events.
  • Act as the external point of contact for your team as well as the internal subject matter expert.
  • Participate in event, incident, and problem management activities.
  • Troubleshoot events using tools and knowledge to isolate issues and route to the appropriate team.
  • May perform other job duties as assigned.
What you’ll need to have:

  • A minimum of 6 years of experience in environments using VCenter, Windows Server, Linux, or Cisco Route/Switch.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in network operations center AND/OR Fusion Center environment.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience using and administering event monitoring tools.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience configuring and administering network devices or servers.
  • General understanding of network topologies.
  • Experience using SNMP, NetFlow, and/or packet capture data to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
  • Ability to provide occasional weekend support coverage and participate in an on-call rotation.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% for meetings, trainings, and onsite maintenance.
What would be nice for you to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, or Computer Science.
  • Experience with ScienceLogic, Splunk, or SCOM.
  • Python, Ansible, or other automation tools and languages.
  • Expert knowledge in configuring monitoring tool dashboards, alerts, and reports.
  • Ability to create, improve, and follow defined process.
  • Current industry or vendor certification related to network or server infrastructure.
  • Experience following and developing defined processes and documenting work efforts.
