POSITION SUMMARY:

The Senior Grant Manager serves as a critical point of coordination and operational support for BAYADA Home Health Care's Workforce Development team, practice staff, and executive leadership. The Senior Grant Manager will be expected to collaborate closely with colleagues and contribute as needed to execute the team's goals and deliverables. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Exemplifies characteristics of The BAYADA Way: compassion, excellence and reliability.
  • Four (4) year college degree.
  • Minimum five (5) years of relevant professional experience in project management, grant management, or fundraising.
  • Exceptional project management and organizational skills and can work quickly and independently by prioritizing and meeting competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and can maintain open and effective communication with staff at all levels across the organization, including senior leadership.
  • Can communicate ideas clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing, and possess experience generating reports, proposals, tools, and/or resources.
  • Attention to detail, extremely organized, commitment to accuracy, takes initiative, and has a desire to complete work accurately.
  • Strong professional ethics and can maintain a high-level of confidentiality.
  • Experience with project management tools and Microsoft Office applications, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Demonstrate and communicate the core values of BAYADA and The BAYADA Way.
  • Develop working knowledge of BAYADA's mission, services, people, organization, policies and procedures.
  • Build trust and rapport with colleagues across the organization, as well as external stakeholders.
  • Organize and facilitate meetings of diverse stakeholders to ensure BAYADA meets and exceeds our grant related commitments to funders.
  • Develop, manage, and communicate project expectations, updates, and milestones such as status and progress reports, roadblocks/contingency plans, retrospectives, etc. to key stakeholders.
  • Lead and execute funder-facing communications (including invoices and periodic reports) by tracking and monitoring progress with program teams and finance colleagues and ensuring that funder-facing communications meet funder-articulated deadlines and specifications.
  • Coordinate internally with project leaders to monitor and track progress; ensure project goals and funder commitments are met; and proactively intervene with program teams, finance colleagues, and Workforce Development colleagues to address any challenges that arise.
  • Support stewardship efforts by facilitating the acknowledgment process and providing other support as needed.
  • Cultivate best practices for managing federal and non-federal grants and contracts and ensure compliance with organizational policies, funder policies and procedures, and applicable legal rules and regulations.

Develop tools and processes to facilitate, streamline, and/or automate grant monitoring and oversight of project deliverables, outcome data, grant objectives, budget-to-actuals, etc.

  • Proactively assist BAYADA's Workforce Development team with grant and contract pursuit processes.
  • Assist with preparing outreach briefing materials to funders and donors, synthesizing information from research and BAYADA practice teams.
  • Demonstrate solid performance or exceed performance standards in key job dimensions/attributes as defined on the Performance Appraisal for Office Staff.
  • Perform related duties, or as required or requested by the supervisor.
