The Opportunity

The Senior Manager, Contracts will manage the Company's contracting process to ensure efficient, thorough, and consistent review, modification, and execution of contracts with the appropriate Company protections, including the requesting of and entering information regarding contract information, bonds, warranties, and customer documentation into the Company systems. This position will also manage follow up with customers, outside counsel and other internal departments. The ideal candidate has a substantial experience in contract terms and negotiating strategies as well as contract drafting and editing, and is able to work closely with business partners regarding risk and risk mitigation strategies.

What you'll do


Primary Accountabilities
(Essential Duties)

  • In partnership with the General Manager, internal departments, and legal, take the lead role to review, edit, and negotiate contracts, purchase orders, change orders or other customer-facing terms.
  • Primary point of contact for internal and external customer service, sending and receiving all customer correspondence relating to the Company's contract process.
  • Manage the organization and tracking of all contracts.
  • Work closely with internal departments on all contract information for bond applications and Certificates of Insurance.
  • Assist project team with project closeout documentation, change orders, and with any process or inquiry that involves the contracting process.
  • Conduct contract postmortems to identify opportunities to improve and streamline future contract negotiations and processes.
  • Perform certain administrative duties related to the contract process, including, maintaining physical and digital records, reviewing contracts to ensure that business terms match the quotes, add contracts to Company systems and manage contract electronic mailbox.
  • Complete all required or directed training, certification, licensing, and other learning and development as assigned.
  • Abide by all Federal, State, and local laws; uphold and maintain accountability to all Company policies.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Secondary Accountabilities

  • Attend program meetings as required, may occasionally work extended hours or weekend hours due to regional time zone differences or emergencies.
  • Experience with Oracle Databases.
  • Experience working with outside counsel.
  • Construction industry experience.

In addition to the accountabilities listed above, individuals may perform other duties as assigned, including work in other functional areas to cover absences or relief, to equalize peak work periods or otherwise to balance workload.

Degree: Bachelor's Degree; JD a plus

This position can be hybrid or on-site.
