EasyPost is seeking a highly motivated Engineering Manager to lead our USPS team. You will manage a high-performing team of engineers responsible for critical services that power the EasyPost API. You will use your technical expertise to guide the team in solving hard problems within a complex business domain.
The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, experience leading engineers, and a track record of delivering big projects on time. Proficiency in Go is a nice bonus.
What You Will Do:
o Lead an exceptional team of highly-engaged engineers by setting goals, providing technical guidance and leveling up your team members’ skills.
o Collaborate with your Product partners and stakeholders to ensure that the team is building the right things and that risks are communicated clearly.
o Be a subject matter expert in a critical area of EasyPost’s technology.
o Leverage your technical expertise to continually raise the bar and ensure your team delivers extraordinary results.
o Work with other Engineering Managers to continuously improve the Engineering organization and uphold our workplace philosophy.
About you:
o You have 7 or more years of experience as a Software Engineer.
o You have 5 or more years of experience as a manager.
o You have strong communication skills and the ability to work well cross-functionally.
o You thrive when finding technical solutions to complex business problems.
o You have a track record of delivering on difficult projects with tight deadlines.
o You are passionate about coaching and leading other engineers.
o You keep up with the industry trends and are well-versed in current best practices.
o Professional experience in Golang is preferred, but not required.
