Reporting to the Manager, the Senior Network Engineer is responsible for designing, managing, and supporting all network-related operations for Redlands' wired, wireless, and wide area network infrastructure. Under general supervision, this position assists in analyzing, planning, implementing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and enhancing complex systems and networks. By virtue of the technical team's size and composition, some elements of the Senior Network Engineer position may overlap with Server Administrators and Engineers. Core responsibilities for wired, wireless network, and wide area network infrastructure include network design, configuration and installation of network hardware and software, coordination of network maintenance tasks and schedules, monitoring and management of network performance, design and implementation of network security procedures, monitoring and management of network security measures, cross functional coordination with server, storage, workstation, and application areas, management reporting, project management, technical mentorship of junior staff, and creation and maintenance of network documentation.QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or related field preferred.
- 5 to 7 years of healthcare I.T. experience.
- One or more current certifications including CCNP, MCSE, or VCAP preferred.
