Cornerstone Alliance Church in Boone Iowa is looking for a full time pastor, who shares the vision of serving a faithful and trustworthy God and reaching the people in Iowa. Weekly attendance currently averages 120 adults and children, with active youth and bible club ministries. Seeking someone striving after Jesus, who has a lifestyle of worship and wanting to help the church disciple others. A key factor in the decision to select a lead pastor will be able to help with the building up of the next generation of disciples through our youth and young adults along with spiritually strengthening and sustain the mature members of the body.

• His primary focus should be that of Preacher /Teacher giving significant attention to preparation for sermons and other Biblical instruction. He should demonstrate mastery of good public speaking skills when communicating Bible knowledge and life application.
• He needs to be well versed in counseling giving wise, Biblical counsel for any variety of spiritual and emotional needs.
• He should have high intercessory skills in undertaking a personal ministry of prayer as a major pastoral role.
• He should be organic with the congregation. He needs to actively participate in the body of Cornerstone. He should strive to know everyone personally and provide appropriate and timely care.
• He should be active in mentoring and discipleship, strengthening others in their commitment to follow Christ.
• He should have a vision of the future for our congregation and the community using scriptural wisdom, foresight, and influential leadership skills.
• He needs to manage the congregation efficiently and effectively in its day-to-day ministries and operations.
• He must be aligned with the Six Pillars of Cornerstone Church

  • Every person is expected to share the gospel on a regular basis
  • Regular expectations of miracles (regardless of magnitude)
  • Embrace suffering for the glory of Christ
