Job description
The Senior Project Manager for Exhibits is responsible for overseeing projects from conception to completion, ensuring that they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of clients.
They will lead a small team majority of the time while managing larger teams on a per-project basis. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, experience in exhibit fabrication, and a proven track record of successfully managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of exhibit projects, including budget, schedule, and quality control.
- Lead and motivate various size teams and up to 50 different projects at a time.
- Ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of clients.
- Collaborate with design and fabrication teams to ensure that projects are built to specification and design intent.
- Manage project risks and issues, including identifying and mitigating potential risks, and resolving issues as they arise.
- Provide regular project updates to senior management and clients, including project status, risks, and issues.
- Manage project documentation, including project plans, budgets, schedules, and change orders.
- Ensure that all work is completed in accordance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Sr. Project Manager will be responsible for leading and managing a Jr. Project Manager.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in project management, construction management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in exhibit fabrication project management.
- Proven track record of successfully managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in project management software like Asana, MS Project, or similar.
- Willingness to travel as needed for onsite builds and installations.
