What you will do

We are looking for a talented individual to join our team as an Installation and Service Technician. As a key part of the team, the Installation and Service Technician works at the Walmart headquarters and maintains an and assists other field technicians with access control.

How you will do it

  • Programming of Customer’s access control which will coincide with an aggressive build schedule.

  • Provides remote troubleshooting for sites outside Bentonville, AR. If remote troubleshooting does not resolve the issue, the technician will then submit the service ticket.

  • Will work with service technician to provide resolution of the issue and will follow up on close out of the tickets.

  • Provide installation technical support, testing and commissioning of projects.

  • Assist with firmware and hardware updates.

  • Assist customer with research and development of- new products.

  • Handle all service calls around the Bentonville, AR Home Office campus, optical lab, Health Centers, and Central Fill.

  • Provided: Laptop, company vehicle and tools to perform service-related duties.

  • Will report into the Bentonville, AR Campus office, hours between 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Mon - Fri.

  • On the weeks that there are scheduled night operations, schedule will be modified.

What we look for:

  • General knowledge of electronics and access control required.

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • 2 years associate degree in Electronics and/or Networking, or technical military equivalent required.

  • Must have a valid driver’s license.

  • 5 years prior work experience in a related field.

  • Highly organized, strong interpersonal skills, and ability to work independently.

  • Higher level networking knowledge.

  • Assist and mentor lower-level techs.

  • Advanced troubleshooting skills.

  • Customer focused on all levels.

  • Certifications in all video solutions sold and serviced by the retail organization.

  • Maintains a positive attitude with strong leadership skills.

  • General knowledge of electronics required.

  • Willing to obtain or have a State License as required. (State Dependent)

  • Must have mechanical aptitude and be able to use hand and power tools.

  • Capable of performing physical labor to include carrying and moving equipment and tools up to 50-70 lbs.

  • Able to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions such as climbing ladders, scaffolding, and high lift equipment up to 40 feet, working within ducts, crawl spaces, above ceilings, etc.

  • Strong organizational skills, a positive attitude, and an ability to learn quickly.

  • Must be capable of working independently or as a team.

  • Working Knowledge of MS Office and basic PC skills.

  • Excellent written and oral skills.

  • Able to read and interpret blueprints and Scope documents.

Preferred Skills:

  • Ability to review plans, diagrams, and flow charts, as well as all tools to capture the work processes associated with executing the project plan.

  • Complete Basic EAS/Video new hire classroom certifications

  • Demonstrate the ability to work independently solving higher levels of troubleshooting skills.
