Job Title: Senior Staff Accountant

Location: Dallas, TX

Description:

The Senior Accounting Staff is responsible for all areas related to the Company’s Accounting and Finance function, ensuring accuracy and integrity of the general ledger and financial statements. The position will require an understanding Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (“GAAP”) to develop and maintain accounting principles, practices, and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial statements, while overseeing the day to day activities of the core accounting functions. The Senior Accounting Staff will be a change agent in the development and implementation of new and existing departmental workflows and technologies and play a critical role in building out the accounting and finance function of the Company. This position will report to the Chief Financial Officer and has Assistant Accountant as their direct reports.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Understanding of manufacturing cost accountings, standard costing, direct and indirect labor variances, price and quantity material variances, manufacturing overhead variances.
• Responsible for maintaining various costing models for the company.
• Maintain, manage and review accounting SOPs for all areas including billing and A/R, Purchasing and A/P, Payroll, GL, Fixed Assets, Inventory, month end closing processes.

Required Education/Experience

• Minimum of five (5) Years of Accounting experience required.
• Manufacturing cost accounting experience required.
• Quickbooks Enterprise Software Experience
• Food manufacturing industry is a Plus
• BS in Business with an emphasis in Accounting from four-year college or university

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $70,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
