ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Is this the right position to help achieve your professional goals? Some of the key responsibilities for this position include:

  • Perform advanced systems administration of complex assignments, maintain, support, administer, install, and troubleshoot a variety of enterprise-level technology platforms and operating systems including, but not limited to, enterprise-level Microsoft technologies and/or business-specific technology platforms.
  • Take a lead on Active Directory, including group policy, domain setup, and management, AD synchronization (on-prem and cloud), SSO setup, domain certificates, etc.
  • Co-Manage Azure Active Directory, set up and manage related Azure resources such as storage containers, virtual networks, ExpressRoute, Azure VMs, Azure file sync, etc.
  • Collaborate between the Cloud and infrastructure services teams.
  • Assist infrastructure and server administration team in performing related administration duties including, but not limited to, setting up internal and cloud-based servers, and setting up and troubleshooting Azure connectivity.
  • Assist the network administration team with Azure File Sync (AFS) setup and troubleshooting, Azure VM’s AFS.
  • Effective, advanced-level utilization of management tools of assigned systems (e.g., PowerShell, scripting, Command Line Interfaces (CLI), Graphical User Interface (GUI), console applications, etc.).
  • Administer security controls, governance, compliance, and data loss prevention to secure enterprise computing assets from vulnerabilities and threats pursuant to company policy as it relates to this position.
  • Efficiently manage, research, and troubleshoot relative incoming incident and service management requests with the ability to prioritize accordingly, escalating requests as appropriate to other members of the IT team in a fast-paced team environment (telephone, email, and tracking systems).
  • Ensure complex customer needs are promptly monitored, addressed, documented, and resolved promptly and effectively through to customer satisfaction.
  • Gather relevant information and provide regular updates to the manager and teammates regarding progress, risk management, potential business impact, resource management, timing, overruns, etc.
  • Compose supporting technical documentation as it relates to this position.
  • Maintain software related to on-premises servers with appropriate updates and patches.
  • Administer appropriate levels-related security controls, governance, compliance, and data loss prevention to secure enterprise computing assets from vulnerabilities and threats (e.g., anti-virus, anti-spam, anti-spyware, etc.).
  • Perform additional assigned infrastructure system maintenance or upgrades, and with hands-on requests pertaining to server or network-related issues as assigned.

EDUCATION AND LICENSURE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field. (required)
  • Microsoft Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate or equivalent (required)
  • Azure Network Engineer Associate (desired)

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE, AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • At least 4 years (5+ preferred) minimum of IT industry-related experience in an intermediate to advanced systems administration services support role with a focus on cloud services delivering products and solutions at an enterprise level; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. (required)
  • Experience and/or related course work in Computer Science, Information Technology application, or related discipline as it relates to this position. (preferred)
  • Expertise in implementing, managing, and monitoring an organization’s Active directory (including DC’s GPO, replication, etc.) Microsoft Azure environment, including virtual networks, storage, computing, identity, security, and governance.
  • Familiarity with operating systems, networking, servers, and virtualization. In addition, applicants should have experience using PowerShell, Azure CLI, the Azure portal, Azure Resource Manager templates (ARM templates), and on-prem and Microsoft Azure Active Directory (Azure AD).
  • Firm understanding of Microsoft Hyper-V and storage technologies (NAS, SAN, Cloud, etc.).
  • Firm understanding of networking topologies such as DNS, DHCP, WAN/LAN, SD-WAN/SASE, VPN solutions, routing, switching, and general network topology administration as it relates to this position.
  • Proficiency with systems-related diagnostics, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair, including new installs, upgrades, optimizations, and general day-to-day operations. (required)
  • Experience installing, testing, and troubleshooting software applications including multi-platform operating systems and third-party applications. (required)
  • Experience installing, testing, and troubleshooting related systems and software applications including multi-platform operating systems and third-party applications. (required)
  • Experience providing end-user call support, prioritization, and escalation of service needs. (required)
  • Ability to work under pressure and exercise sound professional judgment in the analysis of problems to resolve or escalate intermediate to advanced system issues. (required)
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks to completion and through to customer satisfaction. (required)
  • Proven organization/planning, customer service, and response skills. (required)
  • Flexibility to travel to company offices as needed. (required)
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license and satisfactory driving record for business travel. (required)
