General Description

A Server Assistant is responsible for providing support and assistance to the Servers. This is done in 2 main ways… 1. Clearing, cleaning and re-setting tables as well as stocking and maintaining essential service items such as silverware, water pitchers and ice. 2. Delivering food orders from the kitchen to the guest table and serving food items to guests. Excellent service, communication and organizational skills are key to success in this position.

Work Duties

• Assist in the overall cleanliness and organization of the restaurant
• Assist Servers in the clearing, cleaning, and setting of guest tables
• Assist Servers in delivering food orders from the kitchen to the guest (“Food-running”)
• Assist Servers in maintaining the overall cleanliness and organization of each side station
• Assist Servers in maintaining the overall cleanliness and organization of each table section
• Assist Servers in re-stocking and maintaining essential restaurant items, including water pitchers, ice, silverware, glasses, plates, napkins, tablecloths etc.
• Assist with any additional job duties as assigned by managers/supervisors
• Perform all duties in an accurate and efficient manner
• Have a basic knowledge of restaurant menus and daily specials
• Have basic knowledge of acceptable forms of payment and the Disney Dining Plan
• Complete all assigned opening and closing duties
• Display proper food safety procedures at all times
• Follow all necessary laws and processes for the safe service of alcohol
• Work closely with all other team members and display good teamwork
• Follow the Disney 5-Keys Basics, Service Basics and Company Guidelines at all times
• All other tasks as assigned
