Brooksource is hiring a Server Operations Analyst to join our federal client in Huntsville, AL on a fulltime basis.

• Work within a team environment to provide Cybersecurity support and maintain overall security posture for networks.
• Contribute to and maintain cybersecurity standards IAW Army and DoD requirements for RHEL resources across multiple networks.
• Maintain vulnerability management program for RHEL resources primarily utilizing Linux satellite/repository server.
• Configure and manage RHEL systems IAW DoD and Army STIGs to maintain security posture of machines across the enterprise.

Required Education and Experience:

• Deep and broad experience with Microsoft server technologies.
• Understanding and experience with ESX VMware server technologies.
• Experience performing second and third-level Windows server operations support.
• Extensive experience with Microsoft clustering.
• Must meet IT certification requirements IAW regulation.

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Ability to configure and manage RHEL systems IAW DoD and Army STIGs to maintain security posture of machines across the enterprise.
• Expertise in managing and maintaining Linux satellite/repository server.
• Working knowledge with scripting and automation cyber tools such as bash scripting, Radix, Ansible, CHEF, or Puppet preferred.
• Basic knowledge with remediation via scripts such as PowerShell or batch files.

Responsibilities

Support for U.S. Army Redstone Test Center (RTC), Center Support Directorate (CSD), Information Management (S-6), Cyber Operations Defense.

Essential Functions

· Work within a team environment to provide cybersecurity support and maintain overall security posture for RTC networks.

· Contribute to and maintain cybersecurity standards IAW Army and DoD requirements for client and server resources across multiple networks.

· Perform vulnerability scanning and apply OS and application patches/upgrades on a regular basis.

· Upgrade administrative tools and utilities as required.

· Configure and manage Group Policy Objects to maintain security posture of machines across the enterprise.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

Full-time, 40-hour work week, Monday-Friday, typically 7:30 A.M. to 4:00 P.M., including a 30-minute lunch break. Rarely will evening and weekend overtime work be required. . Work Authorization/Security Clearance

DoD Secret or higher security clearance, or the ability to obtain at least a Secret clearance. U.S. Citizenship is required.
