Penobscot Bay Media is currently recruiting for remote positions in the following states:

CT, FL, KY, MA, MD, ME, NC, NH, NY, OK, TN, TX, VA, VT

Position Summary:

Develops custom solutions on ServiceNow platform and to work with a team to implement and deliver applications in a fast pace agile project environment.

Exercises considerable latitude in determining technical objectives of assignment.

Completed work is reviewed for desired results from a relatively long-term perspective.

Performs delivery of software integration and configuration.

Provides problem resolution and technical support for delivery systems.

Provides support for the design, validation, and configuration management of software delivery systems.

Mentors, leads, and trains others.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop solutions on the ServiceNow platform, including creation and modification of applications, forms, workflow, interfaces and any other customization required
  • Customize ServiceNow configurations, including custom scripts
  • Developing user friendly catalog items with experience writing orchestration workflows such as Content Management, Web Services
  • Develop external application integration using SAML 2.0 and Web services
  • Assist in the implementation and customization of ServiceNow modules and features (e.g., CMDB, Knowledge, Discovery, Orchestration)
  • Develop and maintain integrations between ServiceNow and other information systems
  • Utilizes available programming methodologies and languages and adhere to coding standards, procedures and techniques while contributing to the technical code documentation
  • Build and execute test procedures and scripts, and participate in associated testing (verification and validation) activities
  • Troubleshoot ServiceNow problems, implementing bug fixes and performing root cause analysis
  • Support data migration, as needed
  • Perform system and integration testing with sample and live data
  • Communicate with managers, end users, and process owners frequently to establish requirements and guide development
Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications


  • 10+ years’ experience on the ServiceNow platform as a developer or architect
  • U.S. Citizen
  • Ability to obtain a Secret-level security clearance
  • ServiceNow Developer or Implementation certifications
  • Demonstrated portfolio of ServiceNow development activities
  • Experience with scripting in ServiceNow (Business Rules, UI Pages, UI Macros, etc.)
  • Experience with recent versions of ServiceNow up to and including “New York”
  • Excellent communication skills (in English), both verbal and written, to articulate details in a professional manner
  • Applicant must be a detail-oriented self-starter / problem-solver with excellent time-management and organizational skills
  • Applicant must have a strong work ethic, be extremely organized and detail-oriented, be a self-starter with excellent time-management, problem solving, and multitasking skills
  • Problem solving skills from active listening to, and educating, customers through resolution and a set of delivery expectations

Preferred Qualifications:


  • IAT Level-1 Technical Certification (CompTIA A+ or equivalent), recommended
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science/Engineering or related field
  • Proven experience in developing for ServiceNow for complex organizations
  • Experience implementing systems using the Agile/Scrum methodology
  • Experience implementing Service Catalog, CMS, MID Server, Integrations with LDAP and other applications external to ServiceNow
  • Familiarity with User Interface design and User Experience concepts
