Job Description
Job Title: Shipping and Receiving Associate
Department: Manufacturing
Location: Mt. Pleasant, MI
Non Exempt
Summary: A
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Support manufacturing floor of all fork trucking activities.
Accurately scan component parts out of WMS (Warehouse Management System) and transport to the manufacturing floor or the repacking area.
Maintain proper inventory levels in the stores areas on the manufacturing floor.
Maintain designated inventory levels in the repacking area both on the shelves and the gravity racking.
Handle Shipping and Receiving docks including processing foreign vendors (CMM and hot containers primarily) by using C-TPAT requirements for container inspections and seal control.
Stage Mid-State the prior day of shipment based on packing list information.
Breakdown common skids and assign to proper (LID) location identifier.
Create labels for non-plated yoke from yoke press and assign to proper LID location.
Help with sorting customer totes and removing customer tote labels.
Weigh and record scrap bins for Omni Source shipments.
Help stretch wrap Injection Mold finished goods for CMM shipments and store in warehouse.
Perform miscellaneous housekeeping tasks when available.
Complies with all applicable policies and procedures as required by American Mitsuba’s Quality and Environmental systems.
Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education (GED); or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Other Skills and Abilities: Possess a problem-solving mentality using tact and diplomacy; has a cooperative and flexible attitude.
Demonstrates a high level of professionalism in job appearance, manners and appearance.
Possess excellent time management skills.
Understanding of and ability to use personal computers and software applications.
Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to fellow co-workers and departments.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, percent, and to interpret graphs.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Fork truck license.

While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The associate is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The Associate will continually be climbing on and off the fork truck throughout the day requiring approximately a three foot step up and step down. The associate must frequently lift and/or move up to 40 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this job, the associate is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and high, precarious places. Pay: $17.89 - $18.45 per hour
