Position Summary:


The Shopper Marketing Manager will lead the Shopper Marketing strategy, development, and execution of Omnichannel shopper activation plans for the retail channel and select customers. This role will partner with the Sales Team to develop and execute plans that influence shopper behavior along the path to purchase, while driving shopper loyalty and profitable growth for our brands. The Shopper Marketing Manager will work across brands and customers to align on priorities, develop shopper marketing plans, implement creative, and execute tactical elements against allocated budgets.


Responsibilities:


  • Drives brands with shopper insight-led strategy and shopper activation plans with select customers using both in-store and digital (Omnichannel) executions along the shopper’s path to purchase in the given category/retailer
  • Understands brand and retailer strategies/objectives and partnering with customer teams to develop and execute integrated customer business plans
  • Partners with cross functional teams internally including, but not limited to: Brand Marketing, Customer Teams, Customer Strategy, Shopper Insights, Visual Merchandising, Category Management, Creative Solutions, Digital Activation, Media Services, and Legal & Regulatory
  • Develops and manages creative process and obtains approval of programs, claims, and assets across various shopper activation tools
  • Develops clear creative briefs for internal and 3rd party vendors/agencies for creative and/or campaign development to enable successful execution
  • Identifies new and differentiating opportunities and vendors that drive awareness, trial, growth, and consumption for NHSc brands
  • Supports critical corporate and brand initiatives short term/medium term at assigned retailers to drive profitable company/brand goals and objectives including corporate scale events, themed events, brand innovation, and others
  • Manages and tracks programs with allocated budget
  • Develops critical KPIs for every program and performs post-analytics on programs to understand ROI/ROAS and other key learnings to improve efficiency and effectiveness of future programs
  • Participates in the annual business planning process by sharing retailer specific key learnings and prior program results
  • Works collaboratively with other Shopper Activation associates to share best practices by channel and establishes KPIs across various retailer-specific programs

Requirements:


  • BS/BA Degree
  • 5+ years of experience within the CPG industry (relative experience in Shopper Marketing, Sales, Brand Customer Marketing, Shopper Insights, analytics, and Brand & Category Management)
  • Experience within the Vitamin or Diet/Nutrition categories a plus
  • Knowledge of digital marketing and conversion tactics a plus

Skills:


  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills (verbal and written)
  • Strong influencing skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Power Point, Word)
  • Driven self-starter with the ability to take on and lead multiple projects and meet tight deadlines
  • Ability to develop strong relationships across many functions and external partners
  • Knowledge of Pinpoint and Coupon management (NCH/Inmar/Quotient) a plus
  • Works well in a team environment
