Sugar Bowl Skier Services is responsible for, but not limited to: the sale of lift tickets, season pass sales and service, ski school lesson information, retail sales, rental shop information and booking, tuning and repair services, Lost & Found, seasonal locker leasing, and day locker rentals, all while providing the highest level of guest service both to resort visitors and fellow employees. Skier Services employees must be familiar with all resort activities and services, current snow and weather conditions, the full lift ticket and season pass product line, ski school lesson offerings, and equipment rental options to ensure accurate information is provided to internal and external guests.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Ability to consistently provide excellent guest service in a dynamic, high-volume department.
• Ability to address customer complaints in a courteous, professional, productive manner

• Proficient in all Skier Services Retail Department operating systems including: RTP One, Fresh Desk, Microsoft Outlook, Chargerback, Podio, Mitel, and Aspenware.

• Ability to work with diverse staff members in an equitable, constructive, results oriented manner.
• Excellent communication skills in person, over the phone, and in written communication.
• General skiing and / or snowboarding industry knowledge preferred.
• Must be fluent in spoken and written English.
• Retail sales experience preferred.

DUTIES INCLUDE, BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:

The Sales Associate 2 – Retail position must be proficient in all Sales Associate 1 duties including the following:

• Communicate accurate, detailed information on resort knowledge, snow and weather conditions, mountain operations and resort geography, ticket, pass, rental, retail and ski school lessons including product information, pricing, restrictions, locations and meeting times.
• Ability to sell/reserve products through RTP One, Sugar Bowl’s point-of-sale platform over the phone and in person.
• Ability to concurrently use multiple operating systems including but not limited to: RTP One, Fresh Desk, Microsoft Outlook, Chargerback, Podio, Mitel, and Aspenware.
• Conduct accurate credit card management.
• Have basic resort knowledge to upsell/cross sell products.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Handle guest issues in a friendly, courteous, timely and helpful manner.
• Maintain a good working relationship with coworkers, management, and other departments
• Occasional snow removal (snow shoveling).
• Periodic out of doors customer service, potentially in stormy, snowy, windy, or otherwise inclement mountain weather.
• Embrace, promote and comply with Sugar Bowl’s mission, values, and policies and procedures
• Meet or exceed service level objectives and department goals set forth by Skier Services management.
• Must be able to work holiday periods and weekends.
• Other duties as assigned.

In Addition, the Sales Associate 2 – Retail position will be able to perform the following functions:

• Technical
  • Troubleshoot, research, cross reference, and resolve guest inquiries in a courteous and timely manner using all available Skier Services operating systems including RTP One, Fresh Desk, Microsoft Outlook, Chargerback, Podio, Mitel, and Aspenware.
  • Perform complex transactions and have a detailed understanding of guest profiles in RTP Customer Manager including: Common Profiles, Payment Profiles, Special Profiles, Access/Pass Media Profiles, and History Profiles.
  • Conduct accurate credit card management and research procedures using RTP One, RTP Customer Manager, and Aspenware operating systems.
  • Pass all required ski tuning certifications.
• Sales
  • Develop extensive resort and product knowledge to upsell/cross sell products and events from the following departments: Ski School, Food & Beverage, Tickets & Passes, Rentals, and Marketing.
  • Demonstrate extensive brand and product knowledge including remaining current on industry products and trends
  • Uphold retail locations appearance and visual standards through cleaning, stocking and merchandising.
  • Ability to recommend specific products across a wide range of retail categories to suit unique guests’ needs, including appropriate technical equipment from both hard goods and soft goods categories.
  • Basic ski boot fitting knowledge required.
  • Ability to fit skis, bindings and/or poles to guest satisfaction while following manufacturer recommended guidelines.
  • Ensure all demo rental forms are accurately completed and signed by guests.
