- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience

Key job responsibilities
As Software Development Engineer, you will help solve a variety of technical challenges related to manufacturing the fleet of satellites, ground equipment and associated ASICs as well as mentor other scientists and engineers.
You will design and develop the manufacturing software used to drive the assembly, calibration and test of satellite and ground systems as well as perform high-throughput ASIC/chip level provisioning and testing.
You will work with manufacturing engineering, product engineering and security engineering to identify the needs and architect the manufacturing Software with the required functional, interface and security capabilities as well as addressing system performance needs. You will design and develop the end-to-end system capabilities required for the orchestration of the manufacturing software across factory production lines.

In this role as Software Development Engineer, you will be actively engaged in developing Kuiper’s secure manufacturing software system and orchestration software capabilities. These products enable industrial automation for the manufacturing of the Kuiper satellite fleet and supporting ground equipment. You will engage with an experienced cross-disciplinary team to develop, qualify, produce, and deploy solutions and products enabling Kuiper’s global network.

- Collaborate with experienced cross-disciplinary Amazonians to conceive, design, and bring innovative products and services.
- Build the manufacturing software system used by production operations to manufacture the Kuiper satellite fleet, supporting ground systems and associated ASICs
- Build the end-to-end system capabilities required for the orchestration of the manufacturing software across factory production lines.
- Architect and design a secure manufacturing software system that protects Kuiper intellectual property and manufacturing assets via a secure chain of custody/trust.
- Identify needs and architect the manufacturing software system with the required functional, interface and security capabilities as well as address system performance needs.

- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
