- 4+ years in a Space/Aerospace/Military/Precision fabrication/Test environment
- 1+ year experience working with precision mechanical and electrical fabrication/testing
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to climb a ladder and work at heights above 6 feet.
Project Kuiper is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world.
This role is for a highly dynamic and motivated individual that will work on development hardware to meet the needs of Project Kuiper. We are looking for an individual who works well with engineering teams under minimal oversight to take hardware from concept to production. This will be an R&D focused position so expect the work to be dynamic and exciting.

This team is organized within the solar, structures, and mechanisms team to accelerate the design iteration process and ensure on-time delivery of the most stable and successful product possible. The tasks and daily focus change rapidly, and you will often take on new and exciting responsibilities as required to ensure project success. Expect to be deployed to complex problems that are driving the design and quickly drive success through build and test support. You’ll have relentlessly high standards for yourself and everyone you work with, and you’ll be constantly looking for ways to improve product performance, quality and manufacturability.

Key job responsibilities
- Able to work with minimal guidance and instruction
- Mechanical and electrical assembly of various spacecraft mechanisms
- Build and execute various development tests
- Work closely with engineering teams to optimize manufacturability and to develop custom automation equipment
- Maintain, operate, and identify production equipment
- Accurately estimate time required to complete tasks, and meet deadlines as assigned
- Participate constructively and take ownership in the success of interdisciplinary projects
- Familiarity with aerospace/space quality standards for mechanical and electrical components

- Good arm/hand dexterity.
- May need to operate heavy equipment including overhead cranes and electric lifts. Rigging and hoisting tasks may be performed.
- Good vision, mental sharpness, alertness and function in confined spaces.
- 6+ years in a Space/Aerospace/Military/Precision fabrication/Test environment
- Experience in a R&D/development/Test role highly desirable
- Familiarity with basic machining operations (manual mill, lathe, etc.)
- Familiarity with hardware testing procedures and set ups
- Familiarity with data acquisition software
- A&P certificate, IPC 620, 610 or J-STD.

The base pay for this position ranges from $65,700/year in our lowest geographic market up to $165,200/year in our highest geographic market.
