North Central Care & Rehabilitation seeks Speech Language Pathologist to join our therapy team!

North Central Care & Rehabilitation is a skilled nursing center located in Spokane, Washington. Established in 1995, we are a 99 bed acute care facility that offers long term care, short term rehab and a secured Memory Care Unit. We are privately owned by the Hyatt Family, and for seventy years the Hyatt family has been dedicated to providing residents and their family outstanding care while respecting privacy, dignity and doing everything possible to enhance the quality of life for their residents. Job Summary

Prevent, assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, social communication, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders.

Job Duties

• Evaluate and diagnose speech, language, communication, or swallowing difficulties.
• Develop and implement effective treatment programs.
• Provide counseling to patients and patients’ families about results of testing and recommended treatment options.
• Establish patient understanding, expectations, and goals for treatment.
• Create accurate documentation and reporting for all patient visits.
• Communicate effectively with therapy and nursing staff, as well as residents and their families.

Qualifications

• Active Washington State Speech Language Pathologist license in good standing
• 1 Year of experience in long-term care setting
• Knowledge of Medicaid, Medicare, and private insurance plans
• Familiarity with a variety of speech and cognitive disorders
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Basic computer literacy
• Ability to comply with all regulatory standards

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $45.00 - $51.00 per hour
