The Data & Analytics Function oversees the analytics lifecycle to identify, analyze and present relevant insights that drive business decisions and anticipate opportunities to achieve a competitive advantage. This function manages analytic data platforms, the access, design and implementation of reporting/business intelligence solutions, and the application of advanced quantitative modeling.
Department Overview:
Supply Chain Digital Partners – Supply Chain Digital Solutions team works with Inventory Management, Logistics and Warehouse Operations business teams on solving some of the business’ biggest challenges, gain efficiency and improve the customer experience by leveraging data engineering, data science and visualization, data automation and data governance & management. The team drives business innovation by leveraging emerging technologies and turning them into differentiating business capabilities.
Job Overview:
The primary role of the Senior Data Analyst is to apply business process knowledge and data analytics to develop, recommend and communicate timely, accurate, relevant, and actionable insights to support business decisions and objectives. This person will work collaboratively with Shared Services/Cloud teams, offshore developers, and business users to solve business problems and deliver solutions.
Responsibilities
- Defining Digital Solutions Strategy – connecting program workstreams to digital solutions capabilities. Basically, defining scope for Digital solutions POD vs other Program PODs / Teams.
- Defining Operational Analytics vs. Business Analytics, operational vs analytical reporting.
- Defining consumers of analytics / other solutions.
- Creating Analytics Strategy Plan.
- Develop requirements for analytics and advanced analytics solutions/models to solve business problems through Tableau, GCP BQ, AtScale.
- Asks probing questions to translate business needs to build and design reporting solutions (metric management, dashboards, enterprise performance management).
- Collaborate with business resources to solve complex problems through data analytics.
- Apply BI&A development methodology to problem solving (Define, Develop, Validate, and Implement).
- Understanding current state data, analytics reporting (Teradata / BOBJ/Tableau/Alteryx) or other analytics solutions
- Uses knowledge of business and data to discover and/or anticipate problems or opportunities where data can be leveraged to address the need.
- Interprets results of analyses, identifies trends and issues (forecasting), and develops alternatives to support business objectives.
- Utilize the BI&A reporting systems to document request from the business.
- Develop and manage business expectations through implementation.
Qualifications
- 7+ years’ experience in related field preferred.
- Experience with other tools such as Tableau, GCP BQ, Alteryx required.
- Experience with data query, visualization, dashboard and/or scorecard tools preferred.
- Extensive experience performing Analysis, Visualization, Reporting
- Experience in Big Data systems, Data Lakes and Analytics related field.
- Hands on experience in Data Analysis/validation/data mapping and proficient in SQL queries.
- Experience developing Business/Functional Requirement documentation and facilitating requirement work sessions with Business Units/Clients
- Excellent verbal/written communication skills in an internal client facing role with ability to present information and findings clearly in analysis/reports.
- Proven experience working in programs of large scope and multiple functions.
