Role: Data modeler

Location: Remote

Duration: 12+ months

Client: Tetra pak

Visa: US citizen, GC, H4 EAD

Data Modeling- SQL, Azure, AWS, ETL, Python + power BI

This international industry leader has an immediate 12+ month contract opportunity for a Data Modeler. Can work 100% remote from anywhere in the United States. You will be responsible for understanding the data structure and modeling them. Will be using SSIS, ETL to manipulate the data and cleanse it for ease of use. Will build Data warehouse, Tabular models and cubes to create interface for the data. Will create Power BI reports to display the data by linking the data and logic in Cubes. Will build a Datawarehouse and enable data quality and life-cycle measurement. You are also expected to re-engineer existing SSAS tabular models to improve their extendibility, maintainability and row/role level security. Will analyze the data based on use cases for bringing business value like predictive and proactive service management. This position requires:

  • 5+ years of Data Modeling experience.
  • Strong understanding of the data structure model for enterprise use.
  • Extensive experience with building Datawarehouse/ Datamart.
  • 5+ years experience with data analytics / PowerBI Report creation / DAX/ MDAX
  • Strong experience with SQL Server and Query language
  • Proficiency with Visual Studio /SSAS /SSIS and Data load
  • RestAPI and MS Graph knowledge
  • Experience creating Tabular models and Data cubes
  • Experience re-engineering existing cubes to improve maintainability.
  • Knowledge of role/row level security, database views and complex joints.
  • Good understanding of concepts like Star & Snowflake schema, Fact & Dimensions, OLTP/OLAP.

Preferred:

  • Experience working in Agile/ Scrum framework
  • Microsoft Flow
  • Scripting & Python programming
  • Understanding of Data fabric
