Position Description:
Sr. Financial Analyst, Covidien, LP, Irvine, CA. Serves as a liaison between Neurovascular Operating Unit and the Finance group; organizes complex data to foster cross-functional decision making in order to achieve our financial commitments; utilize Hyperion Enterprise Financial Planning & Reporting Systems, Essbase and SAP ERP system and related data while coordinating complex processes; prepare Global Consolidated Business Unit reporting; coordinate Annual Operating Plan (AOP), Forecasting and Strategic Plan with respective business partners and loads financial data into various systems ensuring data integrity; coordinate monthly closing process and compiles consolidated financial reporting and analysis; utilize Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas and pivot tables, and PowerPoint; partner and present financial analysis to senior leadership and executives; create financial models for business initiatives, including NPV (net present value), IRR (internal rate of return) and ROI (return on investment); improve and simplify financial processes; and applies GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards) in financial reporting, planning and analysis.
Basic Qualifications:
Requires a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field and four (4) years’ experience as a financial analyst or related occupation in financial planning and analysis. Must possess a min. of four (4) years’ experience with each of the following: Budgeting and forecasting; SAP ERP system; Process simplification; Microsoft Excel including advanced formulas and pivot tables, PowerPoint; Monthly/quarterly close activities, reporting and variance analysis; Financial modeling, including NPV (net present value), IRR (internal rate of return) and ROI (return on investment) analysis for business initiatives; Presenting financial analysis to senior leadership team; GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards).
