Sr. Portfolio Strategy Manager

This role is within the highly visible Strategy and Partnerships team of the rapidly growing T-Mobile for Business (TFB) business unit. The team drives innovation, strategy and partnerships for the business services offerings and effective communication of the portfolio within T-Mobile and externally.
The Senior Solutions Strategy Manager will be responsible for gathering and screening new solution ideas and working cross-functionally to develop solutions strategy. This requires ability to work with product managers, innovation experts, as well as teams in the field, to identify customer needs and pain points, to understand market, competitive, and technology trends, and to develop a differentiated value proposition for existing and new solutions that enable the Future of Work as well as for building 5G-based Advanced Services such as, IoT and Edge Computing.

What you’ll do in your role.

  • Solutions portfolio strategy and roadmap:
    • Develop solutions portfolio vision and strategy by applying strategic analysis and data driven thinking, while working closely with cross-functional teams and communicating to senior leadership for buy-in.
    • Define a compelling solution portfolio roadmap, ensuring a continual stream of new and innovative ideas are consistently brought to market.
  • New solution intake:
    • Identify new solution partners and manage the intake process, conducting strategic due diligence to define a differentiated value proposition and developing a profitable business model.
    • Be seen as a credible expert on solution partnerships across all levels of the organization by developing strong cross-functional relationships and effectively communicating at all levels.

The experience you’ll bring.

  • 7+ years of solution strategy and/or solution portfolio background.
  • 3+ years of experience in consulting or strategy roles within a public company and/or in an external strategy/management consultancy firm.
  • Strong understanding of technologies and solution offerings in the areas of 5G, IoT, private networks, edge computing, or cybersecurity.
  • Ability to influence, lead and coach cross functional teams and champion new concepts and ideas while thinking critically and strategically.
  • Knowledge of new product planning and development processes, go to market strategies, and product innovation and life cycle management.
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills, with the ability to convey business and technical concepts to subject matter experts and non-technical professionals. Ability to present compelling business plans to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent quantitative and qualitative skills with knowledge of financial drivers and experience in synthesizing large amounts of diverse information. Ability to create forecasts, financial models and budgets.
  • Master/MBA in STEM or Finance from a top-tier program preferred

T-Mobile's Commitment

New York Pay Range : $139,100.00 - $188,200.00

The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the state listed. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay may be above or below this range. At T-Mobile, employees in regular, non-temporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus, based on their role. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee’s eligible earnings in the prior year. Certain positions in Customer Care are eligible for monthly bonuses based on individual and/or team performance, while Retail and Business Sales roles are eligible for monthly or quarterly sales incentives.
