Sr Product Manager (cell culture)

The Global Senior Product Manager within the Single-Use Technologies Division will help lead the Production Cell Culture portfolio (Cell Factory, Cell Factory Equipment, and Roller Bottles) to drive market expansion. Reporting to the General Manager, Bio Rigid Containment, this individual works with the cross functional teams of R&D, Quality, Manufacturing, Engineering, Global and Regional Marketing, Commercial, Customer Support and Finance to derive strategies and complete business decisions that ensure the long-term sustainability and growth.
Key Responsibilities
Product Lifecycle Management
- Actively identifies and implements product mix changes over product lifecycle to optimize portfolio performance, standard margin, realized price and other key performance indicators.
- Lead new product introductions (NPI) and product development activities to deliver revenue goals and key strategic market positions.
- Develops and implements strategic roadmap to grow product portfolio over near and long term.
- Engages and builds awareness with the commercial organization to drive commercial performance of product line.
- Evaluate assigned portfolio for obsolescence and communicate recommendations for efficient product management.
Product Segment Performance
- Lead worldwide supply, demand, revenue, margin and pricing for product portfolio and presents regular updates to management, finance, and manufacturing teams.
- Develops, leads, and communicates plans, programs and cross functional results within approved budget and prioritization linked to business results.
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop product messaging, positioning and go-to-market strategies.
- Partner with the marketing operations to develop appropriate programs and collateral support including sales tools, brochures, sales communications, etc to increase customer awareness and demand.
Market Research and Competitive Intelligence
- Analyze market trends, customer requirements and competitive strategy, and finding opportunities for growing customer and business value through product positioning and differentiation.
- Partner with finance and analytics team to build scenario-based financial models and forecasts that impact market strategy and prioritization.
- Lead cross-functional new product development teams and all product management aspects associated with product definition, product development, pricing, market introduction, sales tools, training, and promotion plans.
- Ensure assigned products are adaptable to market needs, driving continuous improvements where needed to maintain and/or improve market penetration and share position.
- Develop and present compelling training materials for sales teams, technical support, and field application scientists and key customer inquiries in a proactive manner.
- Collect and communicate the Voice of Customer (VOC) and assist with the development of product based on user needs.

Minimum Qualifications
- This position requires a minimum of a BS or BA Degree.
- MBA or advanced degree highly preferred
- Strong technical capabilities consistent with market segment and product category, experience in bioprocessing required.
- 3 years specific experience with bioprocessing products with 7+ years overall experience in product managment, including experience with stage-gate product development processes.
- Shown ability to conduct financial analyses, develop financial models, NPV-based cost justification and interpret P&L statements as they relate to the product portfolio
- Strong leadership capabilities and ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously are required.
- Experience working in cross-functional teams.
- Ability to travel up to 25% both domestically and/or internationally.
- Attend tradeshows, sales meetings, and other activities to support customers and revenue growth.
